Cannon Street announcements

I was up in London last Monday and was on a late evening Circle train from Liverpool St to Westminster, and noticed something odd when we went through Cannon Street. The announcement said 'The next station is closed, and all trains are not stopping here'. It just sounded awkward - what's wrong with saying '... no trains are stopping here'? I wasn't the only person who thought so; a middle-aged couple sat opposite also commented on the weirdness of the announcement.

As this was the first time I've been through Cannon Street when it's not been open, I was wondering if this was a new announcement on the S-stock, or whether the C-stock before it (and the D-stock) have the same awkward announcement on them, or whether they were/are more sensibly worded?

the D stock says something along the lines of "Cannon street underground station is closed........ The next station is Monument/mansion house"

If left alone the D Stock wouldn't recognise that the station is closed.
Manual intervention would add the announcement "the next station is closed", a further code on the CIS would be "Cannon Street Underground station is closed".
C Stock just had the option to manually add, "the next station is closed".

S Stock have a CIS option codes for when the station is closed and would announce these automatically.

What about the awkwardness of it saying "all trains are not stopping here" instead of the more sensible "no trains are stopping here" part of the announcement?

Just be thankful Cannon Street isn't on the Victoria Line. The PA would be telling you it's closed from about 10 stops in advance!

All will be resolved when Cannon Street LU remains open until close of traffic M-F, stays opens throughout traffic day on Saturdays and opens for full traffic day on Sundays from 13 December.

No doubt due to London Bridge redevelopment causing many Charing Cross trains to be diverted to Cannon Street
