I received notification this morning from Avanti that the 20:30 from Euston for which I have an Advance Single ticket has been cancelled. They have said I can use it on the two trains before or the two after (although there is only one after that gets in a midnight) so I am having to change everything to catch the 19:30

The quick question is does delay-repay or any other recognition of the inconvenience it is causing apply? If I caught the later train it would arrive 50 mins late so a 50% refund. Leaving an hour earlier than planned has been equally disruptive. I am guessing the answer is no but thought I’d check with the experts to be sure.

Speak to customer relations, you won't get delay repay but if you had out of pocket expenses to get the earlier train you may have a case

Thanks. It’s less out of pocket expenses but just the disruption to my day before I travel which is as much as if the train had arrived an hour late. Delay Repay is not about out of pocket expenses but the inconvenience which is equal whether late arriving or early leaving.
