This is not a dispute as such, more a request for where to find information. A New Zealand resident friend was travelling from Penzance to Heathrow on 8 July but her train was cancelled causing her to miss the flight back to New Zealand (she had left a large margin of time). She was insured against this but the insurers are asking for proof that the relevant train was cancelled and GWR are not cooperating. Any ideas?

The insurer will want it directly from the train company, not an unofficial site.

How do you mean GWR are "not cooperating"? What have they said?

When you say 'not cooperating', how do you mean? Have you requested a simple email response from GWR customer services confirming that the train was cancelled? Has any compensation or refund for the delay (to the train journey alone) been applied for? Would that process be acceptable proof? You could also try sending a Tweet, their social media team should be able to provide a pretty swift response.

Are you sure it wasn’t Thursday 7th July?
All trains ran on 8th july with the latest one 28 minutes late.

On Thursday 7th there was one cancellation, the following train would have got your friend to the airport only one hour later. I don’t imagine anybody would leave things that tight that one hour would miss the flight!
