Out of curiosity would a cancellation of a psychometrics exam appointment count as one of the 2 attempts?

I have a date to sit some of the tests but I'm currently not 100% sure I can make the date until closer to the time.

Secondly what might happen if you are a no-show (without giving prior notice) for your tests would this count as an attempt?
(I know this would be extremely poor practice but just in theory)

Thanks

Regarding cancellations I can’t see this having any impact on your 2 attempts. I had mine cancelled twice due to strikes, they just issued me another date each time. Luckily my employer was pretty understanding and allowed me to cancel my annual leave dates and submit different ones as needed.

I can’t see been a no show going down too well. If the toc has invited you to assessments I’m guessing they have an outlay for each attendee. Would you want to employ someone who couldn’t be bothered to inform you that they wouldn’t/couldn’t attend the assessment day?

Good luck with it when you get round to it though pal.

My biggest concern would be that I may never get this chance again.

Some seem to apply for years and never even get invited to the tests.

As regards them costing a life, I really doubt it.
Surely you can’t fail a test you didn’t sit ‍♂️

If me, and I really wanted the job the only thing stopping me would be a funeral anyone else would be told that I will not be available on that date. It is a life changing opportunity and I would not be risking blowing it.

Not sitting a test - by cancelling or no show - will not cost you a live. You need to start and fail, or not finish, a test to gain a fail.

Cancelling, postponing or not showing up will only affect your application in the company you're going through the process with. Even if you can't make it a day before, just contact HR and at least you won't be black listed. They may offer you new date, or not. But if you just don't show up, then clearly you show them you don't care.

Either way, you'll be all fine to apply anywhere else. Even in the same company, but well just bear in mind they might remember your name if you do a no show.

It’s surprising how many people don’t show up on the day. When I did mine, 2 applicants were no shows without letting them know and in the end I did the whole day on my own which I actually enjoyed as no distractions or pressure from other people doing the tests.
Like another poster said though, why would you get this far just not to turn up unless for a very good reason and even then, not let them know!

I had mine cancelled the first time I sat them. I have it in writing that unless you physically sit them you don't drop a life.
