Ive been working on thameslink over the past few weeks and whilst at st pancras international i came across 2 new tunnels with nothing in them,ive heard that they will be a extension of thameslink network,coming out on the ecml somewhere near where the ctrl goes over the top,anybody clarify?

they come out beside the HS1 bridge over the ECML

ok i'm there this weekend,will get some pictures for you,i also go down the old tunnels on york way which went from ecml at kings cross to moorgate,one is used a vehicular access,the other one has been filled in i think,look next to the new platfrom 0 at kx and you'll see

The ECML end concrete ramp is fairly clear on Google maps, I think there's a bit more overgrown vegetation in the way as viewed from a passing train now though:

Follow the NLL to the East. just after it crosses the ECML, what is that on the track? 2nd track from the top.

Road rail yellow plant. The last Google update was done while the NLL was closed for a while last year, have a look further east there's another, and works trains in Highbury and Islington and Canonbury...
