Hello from America! This may be a stupid question, but has anyone converted their locomotives with copper fireboxes from hard fuel to oil? If yes, how? The organization I volunteer for has a locomotive with a copper firebox, which is very very uncommon in the States. Most shops won’t even work on them. The other engines we run are oil burners. Our governing group of individuals wants to not fix it since coal is getting harder to get. If it could be converted to oil, they may be more inclined to fixing it. Any insight would be extremely helpful! Thanks
