Hi all newbie to the forums.
So I live in Bradford and used to work nights in Sheffield, so on a Saturday and Sunday morning I used to catch the train from meadowhall to Leeds and then change to Bradford.
I was always half asleep on the morning journey after shift from meadowhall to Leeds however a couple of times the train didn't go straight to Leeds it took the scenic route if that makes sense.
Anyway the best way to describe the one station I particularly remember is this,
I believe it was in west Yorkshire but I could be wrong, it was between Meadowhall and Leeds, it pulled into a small station that had only a single track it was like a terminus, we waited for a little while, the driver then switched cabs and drove back out towards Leeds. It was quite a few years ago now, IIRC the service was class 150s and 153s but again I could be wrong.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately it's not I've just had a look at photos on Google, it was like a run down barely used station like a ghost station it was weird. Also it was single track. It was like the middle of nowhere.

Ignore my previous reply, what I've just read is apparently it was upgraded, you're spot on it was Castleford I remember the level crossing just outside, thank you very much!

Castleford may have been upgraded, but this simply involved bringing the second platform back into use, the line was never single track and the other platform was always there.

There is nowhere else it could be on regular Sheffield to Leeds services, though.
