Could someone tell me If there is an Idiot Proof Guide to installing,setting up & using BVE the last time I tied it over a year ago I could not make head nor tail of it

I remember being that daunted when I first attempted setting up BVE in 2001! Strange now considering it just seems like second nature now.

I remember when I first found it too, spent about an hour trying to get a circle line train to move

I had a similar problem, although with the fictional LU route and BVE1! Yellow panels down the side!!

I can't really remember my first BVE experience. I reckon it was with the BVE2 HST on the BVE2 Wood Green route though. That was great fun! Took a while to get the hang of it all, but now I don't know what I'd do without it!

Well guys Just done a Run From EW to Aberdeen With a DH Class 37 Golfers Special

Still find it strange that you can not see the environment around you unless it dead straight ahead , But I suppose thats only to be expected after 20 months of using MSTS .

Still Find it hard to install stuff out of 4 routes installed one does not show up & at all & the other one (Glasgow Subway)contains unfix-able errors

It's important to remember when you install, assuming you're using BVE4, to send the installers to wherever you installed it, usually

C:/Program Files/Mackoy/BVE4

As a lot of older installers send the files to

C:/Program Files/BVE

If you have not done so... you should get the Birmingham Cross City South and Network North Midland route. These are the most detailed routes on the UK

After you give these routes a run, trust me... you would want to bin MSTS

I must say, BVE 4 was hell to set up. I had such a problem with the .NET Framework at one point I contemplated giving up. I was thrilled when I got it to work! Thankyou to the clever boffin who solved my problem on Train Sim Central forums.

The .Net is not exactly a problem with BVE itself though, is it? I mean, once the .net issue was sorted, getting BVE set up wasn't so hard?

But for detailed help, i recommend signing up to TSC forums.
Its a good laugh as well, as you get to know the regular members and its not strict.
