Shame there's no proposal for a two tier "Tamworth" style station to interchange between the Edinburgh - Airdrie - Glasgow line and the Motherwell - Cumbernauld line (as part of the Bathgate line enhancements)

Is this a closed down line?

Because with commuting becoming a new sport/hobby the local TOC Scotrail in this case i'm guessing will find it profitable to reopen the line


The Ebbw Valley Line near me has recently been reopened and that has had a brilliant bring back.

Yes, my friend there said that actual pax nos were about 3 times the estimate that was used to justify the re-opening (hope I've remembered his numbers correctly)

Yes, It would be great, but when they're cutting back (cut, cut, cut) on so many things, and will continue to do so, then I guess this link is going to be a high priority. High priority for cutting. Sadly.
