Cambridge to Windermere 22/10-26/10

Hello

I'm aware that this question is all kinds of noob so please be patient!

I want to travel from Cambridge to Windermere 22/10 return 26/10.

It's not currently possible to book this, I assume because this "is an Avanti journey" and the Avanti booking window is... whatever.

However I'm pretty sure that thanks to the West Coast works in the midlands that week I'm not going to want to travel by Avanti anyway! Is there any way I can ask / trick a booking engine into showing me the journeys by other operators that are what I probably actually want?

If you are using a site that doesn't let you specify operators, I'd imagine most sane non-avanti options would involve travel via either leeds or sheffield.

Either way, the difficulty may be with the last leg from Preston/Lancaster if TPE are running a reduced service for any reason, as Northern have very few through workings Lancaster-Windermere. Depending on your final destination, you might want to go via Leeds-Carnforth and the 555 bus, though the stop is a few hundred yards from the station.
