Travelling Cambridge to Kings Cross on Sunday, 4 adults and 2 children. National Rail quote £34 return (4x£8 plus 2x£1 Super Off-Peak Groupsave) but FCC quote £80 (4x£16 plus 2x£8).
Why are FCC unable to quote the cheaper fare on their own service?

It seems to work for me, make sure you select the Groupsav 4 discount from the drop down box where it says "Railcards and other discounts (optional)".

Thanks for the reply Wintonian, got it now. Shame though that someone not being aware of Groupsave, could be led into buying more expensive tickets.

True, but what seems to be more of a problem is people buying groupsave tickets and not realising that they have to travel as a group or that Crosscountry trains don’t accept groupsave tickets, these things don’t seem to always seem to be made clear to passengers.
