Cambridge to Canary Wharf Commute

Hi, looking for advice on different commute options for a friend who’s about to start travelling between Cambridge and Canary Wharf three times a week.

The Jubilee line station at Canary Wharf is better for them, but Elizabeth Line would also work.

The two most practical options as far as I can tell are:

Cambridge > Tottenham Hale (Greater Anglia)
Tottenham Hale > Stratford (Greater Anglia)
Stratford > Canary Wharf (Jubilee line)

(2)
Cambridge > Liverpool Street (Greater Anglia)
Liverpool Street > Canary Wharf (Elizabeth Line)

Ideally would like to know if there’s any better routes, and/or what the best ticketing options may be. I was unsure whether there were validators on the platform at Tottenham Hale station which would make switching to contactless for that portion of the journey easier?

In terms of journey time, the other route to consider is via King's Cross/St Pancras and Farringdon. It is generally more expensive, though.

There appears to be no Flexi Season fare for Stratford, but that would be covered by a Flexi to London Terminals - GA only is £320, so £40/day, Any Permitted is £350 (covering the King's Cross route); they would then use contactless for the TfL bit.

By contrast an Anytime Day Return is at least £56 which is almost as much as a Travelcard at £60.50.

Tottenham Hale has separate gatelines for interchange to the Victoria Line. There are platform validators at Stratford.
