Greater Anglia are saying that the station has seen a whopping 400,000 passengers in its first 100 days. That is one successful new station and exactly what anyone in the know was expecting, and some.

It would be interesting to know to what extent those are 400,000 new passengers, versus 400,000 existing passengers who have swapped from using Cambridge to using Cambridge South.

(It's still good news and a successful station, either way)

There will be some transfer and no doubt the buses/taxis have taken a hit at Cambridge station. To a lesser extent there was a smaller abstraction when Cambridge North opened but this was then annoyingly distorted by the pandemic.
