I was on in the second coach of a 387 at Cambridge North this morning. As the doors opened there was a loud bang and a shower of sparks from the pantograph.

https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/G46609/2019-11-01/detailed says that it stayed on the platform for 15 minutes

https://twitter.com/owenjohnson26/status/1190195800225263616 says that it was a power trip.

There was light rain at the time. Would this have been caused by rubbish getting caught up and giving a short circuit? Its next door to a building site for the new hotel.
