Hey,

At Bo'ness this weekend, the services were dedicated to the Centenary of the SRPS' flagship locomotive, Caledonian 0-4-4T No. 419. Built at St. Rollex works in 1907 as one of the 92 "439" class designed by J.F.Mcintosh, she worked for the Caledonian Railway up until July 1st 1923, then changing hands with the company into the LMS....and further in 1948 in British Railways. It was then bought by the SRPS in March 1964, through the generous donation of money from Mr W.Watkinson. Since then, she has proved a very popular locomotive at Bo'ness, and can be found often at gala's, sometimes specially paired with the two only operational Caledonian Coaches left in the U.K. Today was such a day, as I headed over to get a few shots of the pairing. Was a nice day and then weather proved challenging in terms of lighting and cloud cover...but some good results were gained:

The rest from the day can be found at the usual place: http://jonathonag.fotopic.net/c1388629.html

Please do comment, and I'm not sure if you agree, but I think my skill at photography has increased a lot since the last time I photoed the Caley Tank. I've pointed out which photos were auto-levelled in Photoshop, mainly as a test to see which the general viewer prefers....complete orginal or auto-levelled in photoshop to bring ou the colours more.

Thanks

Jonathon
