Are we any nearer to a list of forthcoming diversions to the beds yet, I know there are more ECML diversions in the works but I haven't seen a list of dates

Can't say I've ever noticed a metallic thrumming noise. There's sometimes an electric motor like noise which I've always assumed to be either air conditioning or the motor generator.

They are being diverted via the ECML at weekends right now up to and including 16/17 June.

As the first night problems were mainly caused by infrastructure issues, Network Rail will be paying CS compensation

Always worth bearing in mind that the performance regime is related to future revenue loss (I.e. passengers deciding to travel less often) rather than Delay Repay (refund of the fare for the specific journey). Broadly speaking TOCs still take Delay Repay on the chin.
I recognise that Caledonian Sleepers’ business model isn’t exactly typical.

They are assuming the sort of people who read railway magazines already know about the sleeper. They are trying to attract new customers who may not have considered the sleeper previously.

When the sleeper is diverted via the East Coast Main Line, is it not possible to start/terminate at Kings Cross, rather than travising through inner North London then reversing at the Euro Freight Depot in Wembley, seems rather cumbersome route?

No, not if you want to run it with 16 coaches.

It runs into Kings Cross on Saturday mornings when Euston is shut - 12 coaches for Edinburgh / Glasgow and two 8 coach trains for the Highlands. There isn't room at Kings Cross for that on a Monday morning.

On ensuites: I am surprised that CS do not follow the example of Nightjet (and predecessors) and supply a bathmat (NJ now use thin cloth ones which come in handy at home... as do the slippers!). Doesn't seem thought-through.

Via Bolton and Manchester in July for a period when Acton Grange is blocked.

19th July and the 26th July to the 9th August.

All services into Kings X tomorrow morning and departing from Kings X tomorrow night.

Well tomorrow is a Bank Holiday, so effectively a Sunday rather than a typical weekday.

The Highland Sleepers were diverted into King's Cross for quite a long period following the flood damage to Lamington Viaduct. They had to be shortened for the duration and it caused quite serious capacity problems.

Yes, the point being that they ran one 12-coach train rather than two 8-coach trains.

Crewe - Stockport - Manchester Piccadilly - Chat Moss - Golborne Junction - Wigan - Preston is the diversion route for this blockade (and vice versa, of course) according to the paths in RTT.

I don't think it's the arrival time that's a problem in this case, it's more that passengers who have paid for a "hotel on wheels" level of service are standing around a drafty station concourse until gone 12:30 at night because once again the depot can't get the set out on time.

Indeed. If I'd booked a hotel room only to be told I couldn't get into my room until after midnight, I'd be expecting a full refund and alternative accommodation. I'd love to see CS try to defend a Consumer Rights Act claim over the non-availability of a customer's paid for, and really quite expensive, 'hotel room'.
