However the whisky in the evening and scenery in the morning is all you need (if travelling north)

As said, no. There's also no 230V sockets in the cabins- there's a small number for public use in the lounge car.
Smaller & less power-consuming electrical devices, such as phone chargers, can often be used with a UK-to-Continental Europe adapter plugged into the shaver sockets in the cabins. Whilst this is not officially noted, it appears to be a very well-known trick and by no means forbidden (though doubtless at one's own risk!).
In which case, it'll have to be the whisky and the scenery in the evening - all in one go!![]()
