1S25 is the EUS-EDB
1M16 is the EDB-EUS

Sundays:
1S25 runs via Weedon, Coventry, Aston, Bescot, Crewe, Alderley Edge, Wilmslow, Stockport, Manchester Piccadilly, Bolton, Chorley, Preston then WCML to EDB.

1M16 runs WCML all the way via Weedon.

Since Monday 1S25 has ran via Northampton (MON,TUE(today))
1M16 runs Weedon.

The blockade between Crewe and Warrington is between Saturady night and Sunday night into Monday morning
As a result, when 1S25 arrives the line is still blocked
1M16 arrives just in time as the blockade reopens
Even if it arrived at Preston up to 30 minutes earlier, it would be worth delaying it

I noted 67014 at Crewe on Sunday, so I assume this was also involved
Note also there are four sleepers :
1M16 Inverness - Euston
1M11 Glasgow - Euston
1S25 Euston - Inverness
1S26 Euston - Glasgow

I'm guessing a possession and SLW is in place - all running lines under possession when 1S25 goes north, but when 1M16 comes south the possession is released perhaps.

EDIT: Doh, he beat me!

1M11 might even have sneeked through just as the possesion ended
Even if the line was about to re-open, well worth holding it at Preston and waiting

Just 1S26 that doesn't

Most diversions and what not can be picked up in the First ScotRail timetables as they either have some stations or all stations listed for a long time (such as the Preston late one) so really we knew it was being diverted somehow since the start of the Timetable :P
