More likely than not 67007 I'd think. I doubt it'll get swapped out before then but I could be wrong.

92043's at the head of 1S25 tonight and will probably stable in Edinburgh over the weekend, so I'd say it'd be safe to assume that's your loco onwards from Edinburgh.

Is that the first ever scheduled passenger services to/from Euston from/to Glasgow Queen Street?

Used to be Intercity trains to Kings Cross and in one timetable i had Scarborough from Queen St . I do wonder what will haul he sleeper in and out of Queen St , nice to see something proper at Queen St .

Definitely ACLG loco with load 7. 92 + load 7 is too long for the Queen St platforms, as is 86/87 with load 8.

The best breakfasts I have had on the Sleeper were in the early days of the franchise when, it would appear at short notice, the Highland breakfasts were substituted with the 'Gamekeeper's Breakfast'. There was always an apology from the host but I always thought this was the superior option anyway. Seemed to be from the back up supplier, and included Black Pudding and Haggis!

Passed it when it was around an hour late somewhere in the Lake District if I remember rightly. Any idea what the cause is? Also noticed that it had Brinklow down as a calling point on RTT strangely.

Potentially, yes.

I highly doubt the new coaches will be in service by then so any diesel that can do it now could do it then. If so, it's probably likely to be the 47 as it's there to support Sleeper ops.

Reliable source elsewhere has it as 86101, which makes sense as it was only due an exam I believe; 86401 is due repair and exam.

A little while ago I read quite an old book on the history of the west highland line, and there was mention in it of the fact that at one time the overnight train had an arrangement with the station cafe at crianlarich, where people could make their orders on the train leaving london, which would be telephoned through to Crianlarich and passengers would be served freshly cooked kippers delivered onto the train in the morning!
