Looks like you're being treated to "one of those nights" for the beds (Southbound at least). The delayed Highlander has also now just joined the "queue" by the looks of it in the Wigan area.

The flooding will presumably explain the 20-30 min delay to both Northbound services just south of Warrington earlier in the night too.
SB Highlander just got switched through Plat 1 at Wigan passing Virgin 1R07. Is it running wrong line to pass the flooding on the open northbound line and if so is it about to pass the SB Lowlander which is still at Warrington only 10 minutes away?

1M16 looks like it's coming to Warrington on the slows.

Noticed that myself, will be watching to see if it does pass.

Guard earlier mentioned that they were looking at re-routing, only way I can see them getting us around it is by following M16s lead. To do that, we'd need to reverse or be dragged back.

Heating in the brake/seated coach is considered to be deteriorating so guests are being offered berths to keep warm.

On-board staff have no idea how long 1M11 will be sat here, but they know it'll be 10am arrival at the earliest for 1M11.

Shame they couldn't have offered a warm berth at approx. 23:30 last night!!

1M11 on the move, diverted round Arpley Yard and now on the other side of Acton Grange Jn
Good bit of track bashing there :D

Around the time both services should have been in Euston, here's two very late Sleepers racing through Winsford (Cheshire) within the space of 15 mins of each other - 92033 on 1M11 and 92010 on 1M16:

Was that a full set of 92s last night (Edinburgh portion notwithstanding)?

Pity it was on such a disrupted night!

Yes - the northbound locos were 92014 on 1S25 Highlander and 92043 on 1S26 Lowlander (90042 worked the Edinburgh portion)

Thanks - 2x 92s on the beds at a reasonable-ish hour is enough to get me out of bed whatever the weather!

Anybody see what's causing the up Fort William service to be delayed tonight? I'm waiting for it in the pub at Garelochead and Nat Rail is showing it delayed by over an hour

They just said on Twitter "due to technical fault" which they apologise for and they are still anticipating arriving at Euston on time - last reported 67 Late at Rannoch.

Northbound Lowlander departure also delayed as they're "having to change the loco"... not entirely sure what from / to as 92010 was originally showing on TOPS as on the light engine move to take 1S25 (Highlander), but it ended up being 90016. So if 92033 which was reported as being on 5S95 Highlander ECS (then 1S26 Lowlander) has an issue, then either 92010 will need to be used (if it's OK) as otherwise the only other locos at Willesden are 92018 and 92044 which are/were stopped for exam and repair respectively...?

Can't provide an answer yet, at the end of P2 and there's no loco yet. 87002 still attached to the stock.

Euston at 09.00 - 92043 has brought in 1M11, 92014 1M16. 5M11 waiting ECS loco.
The delay in 87002 arriving to take 5M11 was because it first had to run 92033 down to Willesden. 033 was still sat on the blocks in P15 after it failed last night - not sure if there was a bit of an oversight as 1M16 was delayed 15 mins outside Euston waiting for 87002 to move 033 out of the way so 1M16 could fit in P15.

1M16 appears to have lost half an hour between Dunkeld and Perth.
1B01 suffered a late start but has since recovered. 1B16 is currently 12 late.

I’m panning a 7 day 1st class ALR sometime Jan-March, and with the new Mk5 stock due in service, thought might try get ride on it if reasonably possible, so what is the introduction likely to look like? How likely is one to actually be on new stock? And how come its entering service service so quickly having not been running on test over Here months already? Know it being tested at Velim but is that enough to not need months of acceptance testing here?

Due to a planning error 1M16 was booked to go via Stirling, a route which last night was blocked by two possessions. It had to be diverted via Ladybank at short notice which meant a wait for a driver with appropriate route knowledge to arrive at Perth.

I can't see them being in service in the time frame you mentioned, I'd be surprised if they were in service before Summer as it stands. None of them have arrived in the UK yet, and all seems to have gone quiet at Velim.

To quote @Scotrail84 when someone asked recently if the new stock would be in service by the originally advertised date of April 2018... "no chance"

As per Scott's summary of current progress, I'd say that's an accurate assessment of the probabilities.
