Will be going down no doubt to help 92032 bring the China Clay tanks through the tunnel overnight, and possibly do a Class 700 delivery through the tunnel too.

Looks like both 92014 and 92010 have gone with the Edinburgh portion ECS to Waverley tonight.

Might be putting 2+2 together and making 5, but now 86401 has returned to Polmadie and is back on its usual ECS duties tonight, they need to reposition an additional 92/90 back to the southern end, so perhaps one of the southbound services tonight will have an extra 92 on it (T'n'T on the Lowlander with 90042?)

66758 on the garston - dagenham car empties tonight

That 66's been on the cars for 2.5 weeks now. Suspect it'll be replaced by 92023 or 92028 in the not too distant future if all goes to plan with their current tests.

Yes, it'd been 92-hauled for a good while (various of the 'sleeper' locos taking it in turns) until around the weekend of 19-21 May. 92023 had to go into Loughborough that Friday, so left them one short on the Sleeper, hence on the Monday the 92 on the cars (014 at that time) ran down to Willesden and was replaced on the cars by a 66 (initially 742 for a few days, but then 758 since).

I can't imagine 92023 in particular will need too many more test runs so expect that may get a run out on it very soon, likewise 92028.

i would imagine that would be the working gbrf would want to use to bring the locos back into revenue earning service as opposed to the sleeper or chunnel workings hopefully see them on it soon.

It's certainly the one GBRf usually 'prove' them on post-Loughborough once they've completed the light-engine test runs. Less of a problem I think if there's issues/delays compared to the Sleeper or the tunnel workings/china clays. Also, I don't think cars are all that heavy (compared to the loaded china clay tanks which are pushing the 92s limit when taking them up Shap/Beattock with a dead 66 in tow as well).

When the 92s were first getting tried out post the major mods, they would have a 66 tucked in behind for "insurance". Might see that with 92028 given it's been out of action for so long.

You'll get a 92/66 double-header on the china clays in the morning if you're up early enough ;)

Caution - livery wibble alert!

How come GBRf have been somewhat tardy in removing the Europorte branding on 92032, when the huge modifications ;) to the GBRf branding on the 66s and such like has been progressed quite quickly?

92032 today (not mine)

I don't know, but I suspect (lack of) opportunity may be a factor, as is the likelihood it's due into Loughborough fairly soon for the "mods" etc, so might as well do it then?

In terms of opportunity, when it's not been on its china clay travels in recent weeks, 032 has been at Dollands Moor mostly (other than a fairly brief visit to Willesden where it had some repair I believe and was used on Sleeper ECS). With 3x other operational 92s in Loughborough until last Friday they've been a bit thin(ner) on the ground for 92s, so it's been busy and probably not stopped anywhere long enough where this could be done - I doubt sorting a few vinyls out would've been too high on the list of things to do for this loco.

Perhaps the bigger factor, though, is it's one of the three left yet to have the mods - and probably the least reliable of those three - so likely to be in Loughborough for a few weeks fairly soon and hence they may as well do it properly there in the paint shop. They may even go the whole hog and remove the "polo mints" and red stripes/curves on the side so it's updated in line with 028. They could feasibly go down the route of having 032, 043 and 044 all eventually in the revised GBRf livery as 028 carries, then the other 6 in Caley Sleeper teal.

As an aside, the 92s of course were owned by Europorte originally before being transferred in 2014 to the then subsidiary GBRf, whereas I don't think Europorte ever had any 66s themselves (just via GBRf as their parent company). Makes no difference now to the fact Europorte are nothing to do with it, but arguably 032 has a little more "right" to carry its nod to the past than the 66s.

Sorry can't answer - it's a DB 92, so not allowed on this thread ;):p

[It's 92036. Moved up there from Dollands Moor yesterday afternoon on 0B34 - most probably awaiting a lift up to Crewe Electric depot for exam/maintenance.]

Definitely awaiting a lift, given that the DB ones are no longer certified for running anywhere in the UK bar HS1!

OK, OK, I know it's a DB one, but just to complete the story... 92036 has just arrived at Crewe IEMD having been picked up by 90037 which did an out and back trip from Crewe Electric for the privilege.

...that's all the way from Crewe to Wembley and back because DB won't certify their 92s on UK 25kv

92023 (leading) and 92028 are reported to be taking 90047 to Willesden this morning on 0Z92.

http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/O06214/2017/06/20/advanced

This will bring the on-hired 90s back up to their quota of two after the mishaps to 90046 and 90042 on Friday last week. (90016 was taken down on Saturday by 92028.)

There's a path in for a return working - 0Z93

http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/O06246/2017/06/20/advanced

Will be interesting to see what comes back the other way - my money would be 92028 and 92023 - with this being used as a further opportunity for testing.

UPDATE: Confirmed as 92028 + 92023 on the return working.

92's at Edinburgh Waverley still being stabled on the Mid Road. A 92 was there this afternoon although I didn't have time to clock it's number as I was running to catch my train - might have been 92033 but my eyesight is getting dodgy!
