Caledonian Road Great Northern station

I was looking at this map (linked from various Wikipedia articles about London stations) and noticed the very strange Caledonian Road station top right of the left hand diagram - coloured orange. The map shows it belonging to the Great Northern, and apparently reached by a switchback line from King's Cross - and unconnected to the parallel North London line. Does anyone know anything about this? It seems quite bizaare.

It appears on the 1916 OS map as "Caledonian Road Goods and Coal Depot", and is indeed reached by a switchback series of sidings over the top of Copenhagen Tunnel. The depot site is now Bunning Way, and the site of the switchback is now a builder's merchant. Appears to have been removed in the early 1960s.

It was a freight only line which is clearly seen in the classic 1955 film "The Ladykillers"
