Northern seem to have an unbalanced rail-replacement timetable for March 8th!

http://www.northernrail.org/pdfs/trackworks/3_x_Man_Vic-York_DRs.pdf

It shows a limited stop bus working to from Manchester Victoria to Hebden Bridge, departing the same time as the train/bus connection and arriving within a couple of minutes of the same, but nothing similar in the return direction, with only buses to Rochdale and stopping trains on to Manchester.

There must be quite a few buses running empty between Rochdale & Manchester that day!

Does anyone know what work is actually happening to necessitate such an unusual pattern of replacement buses?

Also, I note there are no trains whatever serving Halifax on that day. The journey finders suggest going by train to Huddersfield and replacement bus on to Halifax, and passengers for Bradford changing at Stalybridge and Leeds.

So, does anyone also know what is scheduled to happen between Milner Royd and Bradford on that day?

Glad I spotted this about Halifax, was planning on getting the last train via Leeds and London to Guildford that night.

Going to have to watch out for this sort of thing when I use overdistance excesses instead of just buying through tickets online.
