Cable and Dials test

Hi there I have previously failed the cables and dials test, I do not think I understood what was being asked fully. Does anybody have any tips on how to pass it and how you are actually supposed to answer the questions.

Any help would be appreciated.

Treat the dials like you would your fuel dial in your car. Full being your first answer , your next would b the next lowest dial and the the third and forth lowest consecutively.
It is as simple as that but I must admit it made me think when I first saw it.
