Cab Swap

Hi All.
Having downloaded The Glasgow-Carlisle Route I am on one of The Activities which requires me to drive A Class 82 into Glasgow Queens St and Pick Up some E.C.S and take them to Polmadie.On arrival at Polmadie it asks me to now Swap Cabs to The 82 at the other end of my consist,and then uncouple it and drive it forward before reversing it back onto different consist and then run that back to Glasgow Queen Street.All is fine until it come to changing from One Cab to The Other.How do I change/swap Cabs in the middle of an activity.
Any Ideas please.

Have you got MSTSBin? If you have, then you need to press the appropriate button, If not, you can download it from uktrainsim.

Thanks very much LaSeandre. I remember something about MSTSBin in The Read Me but did not know what it was and what it does.Will go to UK Trainsim now and get it.

I now have MSTSBIN and not got a clue how to use it.
Any offers of advice gratefully accepted.

Effion to change cabs use the 1 key on the loco (it must be stationary) to change locos pull up the consist as if you were shunting/detaching wagons - select the loco at the opposite end of the consist and click on that. You may have to switch cabs on that loco to be facing the right way.

Also remember that some of your locos may not have a reverse cab view in them so goto UKTS (can't find it sorry)

Thanks Meld. Will give it a go.
It must be working as when I press F4 to bring The Route Box the writing is in a different color + The M.P.H has now got A Decimal Point on it to break down The M.P.H.
eg 15.1 mph, 15.3.mph etc. and also I had changed the control buttons for Power,Brake,Rev but they have gone back to there default settings. I put them back to how I wanted them and pressed save but they still go back to default.
Anyway will try your suggestion now.

Hi Meld.
That did the trick and I can now Swap Cabs.
Managed to finish The Activity that MSTSBIN was required for albeit 50 Min's late.
Just one more question.
After I have finished The Activity and go on to A Different Route that does not require MSTSBIN do I need to un-install MSTSBIN from MSTS before proceeding.

No, you can keep it on as it actually enhances your experience. Also, if you're just "Exploring the Route", you can use all of the functionality of MSTSBin.

Eiffion - Don't uninstall the BIN patch, now you've got it on you will find that the memory management of MSTS is a lot better, you should get higher framerates and improved running. Any pre BIN activity that you needed to run round in you can switch the cabs (provided you have made a revcvf file for the loco)
