Yes, I was the guy who was quite quiet through out the journey in a jacket with a light blue stripe. :)

Ah yes, think I shook your hand as I was going anyway just because I'd shaken everyone elses!! Nice to have met you (sortof) anyway Sir! ;)

Actually a pleasant day, got off at Barking on the way back as wanted to signed off the Barking to Crouch Hill part of the GOBLIN line.

Shame, didn't know you were on it, would have come and said hello!! Still gutted that I missed all of the depot moves. Only washer I've been through is Northumberland Park..!

Was I the only one in the White Train? Got more track bashed that way :D

Was great to see everything get done as planned (apart from the Ilford drive-past, which was omitted well before the day).

I want to say well done and thanks to all involved - it was a great day out (even if it did mean me being up 20 hours straight!), everything was so well planned (sooooo many crossovers!), and the MD was great to talk to at Southend.

Absolutely brilliant day.

I didn't know you were on it, a number of people I know were on it including one who I hadn't seen for months.

Glad everyone had an enjoyable day.

It was the cumulative effort of a lot of hard work and careful planning across departments including with NR; but it was certainly good fun working it on the day!

Although I knew the depot working plan, I didn't expect the wash-plant turned on! So that even got a little applause from me when it happened.

Must admit was a very good tour indeed. Was in the rear coach of 357227 and got a few cab rides in and spoke to a few of the managers there. I have to say that had to be one of the most enthusiast friendly tours ive been on, the track maps and the train list for East Ham Depot and Shoeburyness was a very nice touch indeed :D.

I agree, well done to all of the staff for organising this and for making sure that everyting ran according to plan during the day.

I do hope other operators will take note of this, i was told that grand central did look at running their last valenta hst to bristol before that idea was dropped.

Maybe FGW or whoever next operates the great western franchise would do a farewell tour when the HST's are replaced on the London - south wales & bristol services by the IEP's

I did manage to get a few photos of the day, although i havn't been able to put them up because fotopic is down as usual.

anyone else got any photo from this tour?
