I would be tempted but I've got plans to bail out at Barking on the way back to cover the Barking to Gospel Oak line to Crouch Hill as the section onto Gospel Oak has already been done.

The latter, i.e. single line stretch that connects Limehouse to Stratford.

Bow Junctiion - Gas Factory Junction is the single line that is adjacent to the DLR line.

Jon, Pitsea Sand Drag according to 'das system'. I believe it was hoped to get into Tilbury FLT but it couldn't be arranged.

Chariot, I've lost the timings but from memory 1130ish from Gas Factory to Bow, will try and confirm nearer the time.

There should have been times published today, but there have been some last minute changes to times. Those with tickets like myself had a email from C2C this morning with these details.

Run past Ilford Depot couldn't be fitted in as we could squeeze in enough platform time to turnaround at Seven Kings.

I hope the trip was enjoyed by all on board. I photographed the pair as they traversed Gas Factory to Bow Junction. Scenic it ain't but, heck, the last time I saw a train on that ECS link was a class 307 back in the mid eighties....

Yes, a good day. The staff were all very approachable and friendly (even c2c's MD was walking through the train) and the routes were interesting - carriage wash/East Ham EMUD visit were my highlights!

Train itself was very well presented - c2c really show up their neighbours NXEA in this respect.

All in all, you couldn't go wrong for £20. Well done c2c!

Some members on this trip may have seen me, even if I didn't see you! I was the odd-looking fellow wearing LUL uniform. (Don't worry, I'm not that sad -), had to leave early after the lunch break at Southend to come back to London to book on for a dead late duty. Such a shame, as it was acctually quite nice, with friendly staff, a nice atmosphere on the train, (easy to talk to complete strangers), and I'd have loved to have done the depots. But oh well, there we go!

Hi hope you don't mind a newbie chipping in!

It was indeed a very enjoyable day out. Enjoyed the unexpected carriage wash and entering East Ham Depot.

Was a shame the announcements were not working correctly , although it was mildly amusing when they attempted to reboot the train to rectify it! Had visions of someone giving the 3 fingered salute!

The staff were very friendly and attentive, top marks c2c.

Brilliant tour, I actually got a seat on the blue unit (357 227) the staff were friendly, and even left the cab door open because the passenger announcement thingy wasn't working!

Yup, had to get a service train back up to London as it wasn't possible to arrange a drop-off at Barking, or a safe walking route across into the LUL possession, (although they did try).

Yes, I was the guy who was quite quiet through out the journey in a jacket with a light blue stripe.

I was in London yesterday and was armed with a travelcard ! I took a c2c from Barking to Fenchurch st at around 930. Did see some spotters at Limehouse tho

Actually a pleasant day, got off at Barking on the way back as wanted to signed off the Barking to Crouch Hill part of the GOBLIN line.

I think by the time, the train got back to East Ham depot that night, it was the cleanest in the fleet as it got washed twice - once at East Ham and the second time at Shoeburyness!
