Was you application for the talent pool the same as me ? As I think some of the other ones maybe for a vacancy advertised back in October , not sure though.

Yeah I applied for the ‘future opportunities’ talent pool back in December. Stage 1 in Southend on 7th Jan (PM). And an email saying I passed everything to national standard a few days later.
Since then nothing. Want to be realistic...and hopefully the old saying of ‘no news is good news’ applies here....but yep....need to be patient.

The same as me but had my stage 1 just before Christmas then got the email to say I had passed to national standard the same time as you, so who knows we may hear soon.

Ok so here’s how my timeline has gone just to assist anyone else who has had the same dates as me. So I had my stage one on the 18th at Southend. My stage 2 on Thursday the 24th and was invited for the final interview yesterday for Monday and possibly a medical on the same day depending on interview outcome, via email.
The whole process is moving quite fast which is quite surprising for it is a present just a pool position.

I know I’m actually quite surprised as I’ve heard most applications for driver and shunt positions take months! Especially when you consider this is pool. Oh well not complaining. And I’d advise you try emailing Michelle or contacting the OCR (correct name?) and try to get some feedback on what’s happening.
Yeah I think I may have answered one or two quite weakly. Don’t know why it’s taking long as the others have their DMI date already. Need to be put out of my misery lol

Really? That’s odd! Maybe a decision hasn’t been made then as they say if you are unsuccesful you are allowed feedback. I mean...how else would you ever know? I doubt c2c would tell you.

Quick question....is it actually worth calling the OPC to find out if i’m actually going to get a shot at Stage 2?...or would I have heard by now?
It might be worth a call, I was thinking the same thing, it would be good to know if we still have a chance even if it a while away .
I’d say you should have definitely heard by now as I believe al stage 2 sessions by c2c are completed now. But it wouldn’t hurt to contact just to be sure.

Emailed OPC and c2c.
Got a reply from OPC saying they can’t help and to contact c2c.
No reply as yet from c2c.
Just a shame as I though i’d done really well on Stage 1....as in well enough to be ‘enhanced’ but I guess not.
