Is your application for C2c the same as me ?

I did everything for the first time on the 18th December. But the only one I was really unsure about was the tea occ part one. So tbh I'm a bit supraised I did manage to get national. Just an anxious wait to see if we passed it all to an enhanced standard.

Would it not have said enhanced instead of national on the email ?

No idea. Just received an email that I passed to a national standard and to wait for further updates as my application is still being processed.

No there is no extra for London allowance in the pay. Or for nights / Sundays. The Shunter drivers based at Shoeburyness get paid the same money as the ones based at East Ham depot.
The only extra pay you would get was if you work overtime or bank holidays.

What’s the overtime/bank holiday rate please.

You have to negotiate the overtime with the depot manager you can normally get if a job is 7hrs long u can ask for 12 hrs pay. And depending on how desperate they are to cover the job will be how much they offer.
Bank holidays are a 1 off payment think it was around £150 or a day in lieu and 20-25% money normally a payment between £20-30
May have increased now as it’s been a few years since I was a depot driver / Shunter.

When and where did you sit your part 1?

Southend on the 18th December. Got an email initially on the 4th January that I passed to the national standard and that my application was still being processed and then a week after got an email to sit stage 2.

I did my part one in southend on 15th November! Part 2 was originally meant to be done 3rd or 10th of December but they decided to leave it until now due to Christmas. Didn't find out for ages as the communication was pretty poor so I was on edge for ages not knowing how I'd got on.

Luckily I only had to wait for about two weeks. Did you get an email that you passed to a standard and they are still processing applications. Or did you receive a email saying that you passed to C2c standard and an invite for stage two.

I just had one email apologising for the delay and saying I had me the RSSB national standard. Also stated date and location for the part 2, although the location has since been changed.

Oh, right. I got an initial email that I met the national standard, then another email that ive met C2c standards, then another email that the location has changed but in the email it said said I met national standard. So not sure if they do enhanced pass anymore???

Website says, training salary is £24,567.00 rising to £28,839.00 once passed out as a competent Shunt Driver.
I heard from a shunter at Shoebury that when c2c recruit for mainline drivers in the next 5 years, they've guaranteed to take some from their shunters pool and some from their external applicants pool, not sure on the percentages but I think it was around 50/50. You do have to be a competent shunter to get a look in though. Good to know :D

If I'm right they got a 8% pay rise followed by a 4% in April.

I did the PM assessment on 7th Jan and got an email very quickly afterwards to say i’d met national standard....and then nothing since.

Trying to be patient and what will be will be I guess.
