Hiya,
Haven't heard anything yet, but I knew they were holding a couple of interviews last week so I was kind of anticipating this week to be the earliest that I would hear anything.

Going to wait patiently until Friday and get in contact with them to see what's happening.

Regards

Ed
Ok lol I can stop stressing

Good Luck!

Well, that was an interesting morning. I emailed C2C as I hadn't heard anything yesterday and got a phone call from Michelle an hour later, but not related to my email....

Anyway, it was the best kind of phone call with a provisional offer of employment for the 15th December! Medical to be arranged next week and onwards from there....

Hope this means that they're getting round to all the interviewees today, but at the very least the process has started. :)

In all honesty, I'm not sure. I would think that having got to this stage would warrant a reply, for better or worse, out of courtesy.

It could also be that they may be short staffed in recruitment. It turned out that the person I sent the email to was actually off sick, so that may be slowing things down.

Hopefully you'll get some news shortly. Fingers crossed...

Hi Echodelta31,
I currently work at East Ham Depot. I started in April 2008 as a depot op then passed out as a Mainline Driver in Sept 2009. Sounds like you got the job with c2c. If so, message me, I have plenty of resources on the job and I will answer your questions you may have too.

Anyone else on the forum with c2c job can contact me too, I'm only too happy to help :)

Hi Guys,
We keep hearing different numbers at the mo, however, we do have four East Ham depot ops going up for mainline driving and possibly one Shoebury depot op although not confirmed. So, it's between four to eight depot ops needed with the majority at East Ham. Sorry I can't be of any more help.

Cheers thanks for the info . At the first interview they said there was 8 jobs available and that it could possibly be extended to 11 . Hopefully tomorrow is the day we find out :)

Thanks for the offer Dave. Sorry it took so long to acknowledge you, but actually getting the job has slowly been sinking in the past few days....:D

I'll have a ponder on some questions and might drop you a PM tomorrow, but thanks again for the offer.

And fingers crossed still for good news for you guys yet to hear. :)

Just thought I'd post a quick update for you peeps. Had a very nice email from Michelle which hopefully increases the time for them to contact people...

Originally, I was meant to have my medical sometime this week and go on to start training on Monday 15th....unfortunately, it appears that the earliest dates they have for the medical is the 19th and 23rd December....

Annoying to be sure, but it was a very sincere email and she's still sending out the contract and information ASAP, but the new possible start date is the start of January.

I'm in two minds as to how I feel...on the one hand, I'm slightly downcast as I'd been ramping myself up ready for Monday. But on the other hand, it was all happening at a pretty manic pace. At least I can spend Chrimbo and New Year with the family and get down to work in the New Year.

And as I said, hopefully this extends the timeframe for letting other candidates know the news, good or bad.

Oh okay seems like they are moving at a manic pace but tbh i am not holding my breathe for good news because it seems like they would of informed me by now as they informed you. Not too confident atm.

Medical all done and out of the way. Passed and awaiting the drugs screen (which should be fine unless the other half has been slipping me something in my food....:D )

Popped along to C2C and filled in reams of paperwork as well, and got the contract. So just awaiting a references check and the drugs screen.

Still no start date at this time, but I'm a damn sight happier that I've got the paperwork in my grubby hands. :)

Well done bet you cant wait . Did anyone fail ?

Not too sure....whilst there were other people there, it was obvious that BUPA cater for a shedload of different companies in respect of health at work.

Kept my ears open for any mention of C2C, but nothing really became apparent and I didn't bump into anyone I recognised at C2C HQ either.

Amusingly, I went and got an eye test/glasses at the end of November which sharpened my eyesight up. Turns out I didn't need to and passed unaided anyway.
