Forgive me for not trawling through the historical posts but I have a BVE question. Having downloaded this several years ago and played on the NWM and Cross-city routes, I have just tried to download it again. However, the websites have changed to the point of being unrecognizable! Are BVE and these routes still freely available?

Hi William,

I too left the scene for a few years and missed all the turmoil. Though in saying that things have settled down lately and though development of OpenBVE has slowed to a crawl, there are still great traction and routes available for all to enjoy. BVE is now upto version 5 and the only disappointment here is that all supporting documentation is in Japanese. General improvements seem to be with animated objects and external views where before it was a sim where you were strapped in the driver's seat.

OpenBVE http://odakyufan.zxq.net/openbve/index.html

BVETS (aka v5) http://bvets.net/

A great general site with lots of links and its own Forum is available at http://bveworldwide.unlimitedboard.com/

Another is available through here and it too has a page with updated documentation for the sim http://www.bve-terminus.org/

The American scene is also covered at http://www.bvestation.com/

You also mentioned NWM and this plus most of the older routes and traction that was previously available through TrainSimCentral is now found here http://www.trainsimstuff.org/

Ok I wouldn't normally mention other Forums within another Forum but the two found at BVE Terminus and BVE Worldwide seem to be the most active when it comes to the European BVE scene and BVE Station if you prefer the American scene.

Bye for now,

Stephen.
