BVE 4 running via VMware virtual machine for mac using windows xp

Hi im using VMWare fusion for mac, running windows xp, i read the post for running bve 4 in a higher resolution but no luck the screen flickers and the graphics look terrible. My specs are a x86 Mac OSX but windows being windows can work at a higher resoultion. Why cant BVE 4?

i tried reschanger1009 but that still didn't work.

By x86 I presume you mean Intel - you may want to try Parallels.

Well i just spent money on VMware, luckily i can return it. Is Parallels guaranteed to work?

It would be nice if the creator of BVE would write for mac, so much power and less errors

No - but cedega does, and I've managed to compile cedega on Mac...

Ironically I managed to fix my BVE problem with graphics by running it through parallels....

DiamonDEyE, Parallels works in co-operation with Bootcamp and uses its partitions where available so you may want to look into Bootcamp first (that way you will get the best speed you can possibly get without having to install additional RAM).

Most people use windows but u didnt understand what i said obviously, if you knew about bootcamp as Tom said, you can partition it, i thought it would be best to just a virtual machine.

Upgrading to the new Mac OSX would be beneficial since bootcamp 1.2 is unavailable.

I can't quite picture Parallels running BVE, it struggled on a Core2Duo machine and graphics were fairly poor. (MiniMacs)

You mean Mac Mini's ....

Mac Mini's have onboard graphics and you can't upgrade the RAM.

Well thanks for the advice, upgrading to leopard for boot camp is the only option... getting boot camp 1.2 is out of date.
