Buying tickets on the day?

Hi,
Its saturday, I need to get back to Bournemouth from Basingstoke for one hour just to check my flat hasnt been broken into.
My car has an oil leak, so i want to get a saturday day-return to bournemouth, but when i look on trainline, all the tickets say "limited availability"
next to them.
So is it likely if i turn up at basingstoke railway station i wont be able to buy a ticket there and then?

I dont want to pre-buy a ticket as trains seem to be getting "hot weather cancelled" at the last minute all over the place at the moment.

In Reading station throughtout last week, all you could hear over the tannoy was "train cancelled due to hot weather"....over and over again, as i sat having a coffee before walking off to work.

A Super Off-peak return costs £31.30, but you can’t leave until 12:01 or later. But if you’re talking about today, that’s fine. You can buy this at the station.

You may be able to buy Advance tickets for specific trains for less than this if you don’t mind being restricted to the trains for which you have bought the tickets.

Concur with @jfollows. A walk-up £31.30 Super Off Peak Return should certainly be available. Suppose trains could be rather busy if loads of folk are heading to/from the beach at Bournemouth.
