seeing the pace the skylines in the uk cities is changing and is going to change right now is amazing
london and manchester as well as brimingham are changing dramatically for the good and finally catching up with places like tokyo and cities in america
it will also be a great catalyst for renovating victoria station

Is platform eleven middle still there? Used to catch the 10.20p.m. boat train
from it in the 70s

I hope TPE stop going from Liverpool-Scarborough via Piccadilly! The congestion there is appauling.

What annoys me profoundly about TPE is that they get the revenue flow despite having the least number of services between Liverpool and Manchester!

Manchester Victoria is a shadow of it's former self. Since they plonked the MEN arena on the top of the old high numbered platforms in the early 1990s, it has been a concrete jungle, with 6 rail platforms (4 of which are 'under the arena', while the other two are bay platforms in the 'original' area of the station). There are of course the old Bury electric platforms, which were also removed in the 1990s, and replaced by an island job for the Metrolink services.

To answer your question, however, I believe 'P11' remains, also a shadow of it's former self, as the current Platform 3- albeit truncated with the lines slewed away from the old Exchange station.
