Citylink route 900 serves Harthill services, to allow residents of the village to use it to get to and from Edinburgh or Glasgow.

Oxford Services have a frequent service into the city as well as buses to Wheatley, Thame, and Aylesbury.
Beaconsfield has buses stopping outside on the A355
When I stayed at Durham a few years ago it was a few minutes walk for buses to the city centre

Service X4 (Bristol to Portishead) stops within close proximity to Gordano Services.

The 9 bus between Exeter and Sidmouth passes the entrance to Exeter Services and stops nearby.

Gloucester Services (Southbound) appears to be served by Stagecoach West service M5:
Doesn't look to be very frequent though, perhaps a "works service"?

The old Ribble X61 used to call into Anderton/Rivington/Bolton West services before it was rerouted via Chorley.
The Arriva 700 between Manchester and Liverpool Airport went via Burtonwood services for a time before that was withdrawn.

The motorway service station in Hollingbourne near Maidstone is served by local bus routes. Stagecoach South East 510 and Nu Venture 13 and Nu Venture 14 stop nearby. They do not go in to the service area but stop on the main road outside just a couple minutes walk away. So i am not sure if you would count that.

On the westbound side there is also a park and ride car park with no access from the motorway, and a bus stop a few steps away from the 900/AIR stop served by a number of (SPT funded?) rural services. It's quite a good little arrangement (but I was disappointed to see that there are rather less buses on the Shotts route than I remember from before. I think it used to be hourly too).
I don't think there is Pedestrian access to the services (there are no paths), and if the one Google is trying to mark on the satellite image exists (that's a mud track at the Hollingbourne end), I've no idea where it comes out in the service area - unless it's behind a tree!
The 510 is even further away, with no access over the roundabout of the A20/M20.
Farthing Corner, on the M2, by contrast, is so accessible there are regular reminders that it is not to be used as a motorway access point, and the locals can use it as a papershop! (No buses, though - although at one time the local community transport association had an operating centre there).
some years ago a bus route was introduced to get people to the services for work. This article about it doesn't state much detail but sounds like it could be the M5 bus route. The timings suggest the bus supports shift changes at 6am, 2pm, and 10pm. That route has been withdrawn. Other services are mentioned earlier in the thread.

Sullivans 398 between Watford and Potters Bar serves South Mimms Services.
The trucks top rather than the main services but walkable.

Route 23 still provide an hourly service from Shotts to Harthill and Whitburn, there is also an SPT service 365/367 which provides a service at 5.30am and 8 and 9pm. SPT service 235 which is also hourly to Bellshill still operates aswell, and also goes into Harthill service south side.

It's surprisingly popular with people presumably working at the services. Most buses only goes as far as Borehamwood Tesco, when I rid it 6 months ago about 10 or so people went from various parts of Potters Bar to South Mimms Services, no one alighted in the actual village! I think only 4 or 5 of us went on to Borehamwood. Surprising so few people go between the 2 towns as by comparison, Barnet or Edgware to Borehamwood has seemingly dozens of people travelling between them. The 398 is fairly limited compared to the nearby TFL routes.

Slightly off-topic, but which purpose do such bus routes serve?
If the motorway service area is accessible by pedestrians (and close to a settlement), that's clear. But what if it isn't? Is it used by staff of the motorway service? And what happens if you miss the last bus of the day and are stuck on the motorway?

Would some of them serves motorway services as I seem to recall for a route to be registered as a local service bus stops must not be more the so far apart.
