Hello all,

Off on a jolly again today! I'm going up to Edinburgh and when I'm up there I'd like to take a little trip out further to get some bus numbers. Don't wanna be travelling more than an hour out of Edinburgh, so was wondering if anyone had any suggestions

I collect First & Stagecoach buses

I had considered Dunfermline but it looks to be a walk from that station to the bus station. Someone suggested Stirling, as the bus station is just a bit further along the street but I have no idea how busy that is?!

Any other suggestions or thoughts?

Also, in Edinburgh I'm looking to get as many first and stagecoach numbers I can, I know it's dominated by Lothian transport but can anyone suggest a good place to spot first / stagecoach numbers not to far away from either train station?

Thanks guys!

Probably either Princes Street or the bus station but I personally don't think there are THAT many First buses, because as you say it is mainly Lothian buses.

If you wanted First, Glasgow is littered with the lot of them!

Princes Street at the junction with Frederick Street. Stay on the western side of the junction (the opposite side from the tram stop) and you'll get most First and Stagecoach buses there.

And if you want to see First buses from the Scottish Borders head to North bridge or just down from John lewis.

Stagecoach run some buses from Edinburgh to Fife & Dundee. These run from the bus station. They also operate some Megabus & Scottish Citylink routes. Unlike elsewhere in Britain, some Megabus workings are contracted out to other coach operators.
