I downloaded it a few weeks ago. I can't get it to work with my Joystick though. It's been installed & calibrated properly (works with other games) and I've told it to play with the Joystick in the options.

Any ideas?

Not sure about joysticks Mojo, but from the trial it's not bad. Would be better if it had a proper driver's view. Afterall real bus drivers hardly cling-on to the back and look down onto the bus do they?

Yeah. I'm used to driving buses, though not with doors and the added realism Bus Driver gives you, in Midtown Madness (trial), and Midtown Madness 2 (full vers) and I'm quite good at driving it when I'm in the mode where the steering wheel is visible.

I find controlling it with the cursor keys a bit of a challenge TBH, and I don't like the fact you can't open the door when the bus is approaching a stop, just like in real life ;).

I quite liked it but I agree that it is pretty hard to master with the keys, especially judging the braking.

had a quick go on it and have to say after completely trashing the bus opening the doors before the stop and super braking and purposely on the wrong side of the road knocking everything i can and causeing a big traffic jam with the lights, i ended up with a + score :|

 I did the same - wrong (right! ... left!!) side of the road running red lights and T-boning other buses. Love the way the lamposts come down.

Bit disappointed it wouldn't let me crash on to the Amtrak track and onto the runway at the airport. Slides well in the snow though.

What it needs is a Routemaster.

You never know, it may inspire third party add-ons.

Anybody taken a mini down into the tube stations and onto the tracks in Midtown Madness?

I tend to use a police car when driving on the tube, the lights mean you get a better view ahead. I know I've also taken a bus down there before, but can't remember if you can fit an RM in or if it's just the 'City bus' that goes.

A good game works fine with my low system specs. Amazing GeForce 2 able to run new generation games. I think I am seeing things. I managed to complete tier 1 and half of tier 2. I try to obey the traffic rules, though when I tried the second time I crashed down a traffic light and two lamp poles. :hehe: And the Airport route which requires to exit have a tight curve, since it is snowing, the route become so slippery that I turn too much and the bus bang straight into the wall beside.

Yup - just drive into the station(s), down the steps and dodge the rather strange three-coach trains.

Hi! I downloaded the free demo of Bus Driver, liked it and then I bought it! It really isn't bad for £16 and it's the first game of its type that I've seen and liked. It's an excellent game - I just wish there were more Tiers!

Why do you need it, I thought it only appeared after you started the game for the first time.

On loading, 1st time included, it just crahes out with a windows error message..report to MS. Looking @ the error logs I see that it is the absence of controls.def causing the problems!
