Burnley bus advert

Hi. This will be likely be a short thread but I was in Burnley yesterday and on the back of a bus (it was quite dark so didn’t notice the company name) there was an advert or message that read “eh up cocker”. Now I have been saying that to people for years, pretending I’m southern and was surprised to see it written on the back of a bus ‘up north’. Do we have any locals that possibly have a picture or could take a picture so I can actually read what it’s talking about? Would be much appreciated! Unfortunately, I couldn’t chase the bus down the street!

Wonder whether it might have been an advert for "Ey Up, Cock!" which, if so, would appears to be a variety of IPA beer produced by regional brewery company Thwaites.

Interesting! Although I could swear it said cocker not cock and I don’t recall a beer mat. It was dark though… I just remember seeing orange, yellow and red which I know resembles what you printed very closely but my memory of it from yesterday was that it didn’t look like that and I don’t remember seeing a pint on it! Thanks for posting though. You could be right but let’s see … The bus was a minibus or midi-bus not a full sized single or double decker

Fixed that for you. Easy enough to find a pic after @Volvodart had mentioned a vehicle registration number. Possible though that the bus company has more than one vehicle on the road using that particular advert.

Haha ok i wouldn’t have expected that pic to have been available online so assumed you’d taken it! I’m familiar with eh up as they say that where I live but mixed in with cocker (which is a southern term) made me think what the relevance was. I say it as a joke but was surprised to see it printed as I thought I’d made it up myself!
