Build Your Own Mini Departure Boards

I'm sure I'm not the only one to lust over the ukdepartureboards.co.uk offerings, but I would never get that past Mrs Bob. I've found a low budget version, if you have some soldering skills. I've gotten the OLED display and ESP32, successfully programmed it and it works easily.

I'm waiting on my library to 3D print the case.

edit: total cost for me was less than $20 USD

That's brilliant. Just wish I was any good at soldering or even working out how to code for it!

Agreed - excellent! Highly tempting for a layout - though in my period I'm modelling, they were finger boards shoved into a slot

I'd probably want something more like a split flap (Solari?) board. They do look cool though. I'm hoping to hide a small speaker in my station building with a small electronic sound board and calling points made up from Text Speak. Hopefully distortion can disguise the origin as the Station announcement systems of the 70s and 80s weren't the greatest, quality wise.

Is it possible to show National Rail departures in London Underground mode, i.e. only have the sequence, destination and countdown?
