Afternoon all,

Just a quick question.

I'll be in Loughborough on Thursday and i'm wondering of the whereabouts of the Works.

Furthermore, what is there to see? I hear there is a 56 and a pair of 92's, are they on view?

Cheers.

To get a decent view of Brush's yard, turn right immediately after leaving the station, on to Burder Street. At the top of that, turn right again over the bridge (careful, no footpath), continue past the entrance and industrial units until you reach a large field known as "Loughborough Meadow" on your right. If you walk across it you get about as close as you can to Brush's yard. I'd still recommend taking a pair of binoculars if you want to get any vehicle numbers.

Last time i went through, most views had been lost by extra warehouses built in the way. The field that Mallard mentions is a good one, assuming it hasnt been built on yet.

Alternatively, if you go left outside the barriers, up the steps, left over the bridge (ie A60 north - nottm) past brush entrance, theres a public footpath just before the Grand Central line overbridge, the path runs parallel to grand central towards next road & overbridge. visibility isnt great but its as near as you can publicly get to Brush rail division.
