Has anybody on here watched 'Bronson'?
A colleague recommended it to me recently, so i thought i'd take alook.
I can honestly say i was blown away from Tom Hardy's acting. He protrayed Bronson extremely well, especially during the Broadmoor scenes where he is zoned out on sedatives.
There are some truely classic scenes, like when he takes the Librarian hostage just because he's bored.
If you've seen 'Chopper', you need to follow it up with 'Bronson',
It's important to remember that the film is merely based on a true story, so some scenes didn't really happen. That's fine for me, but my colleague has read Charles' books and so he finds it hard to accept the film.
As violent films go, this is going down as a classic alongside Full Metal Jacket.

It's quite good. The film itself is a bit sketchy but Tom Hardy carries it with an awesome portayal of Bronson. Just the accent alone is almost perfect, given Tom Hardy's normally rather clipped accent. It's really quiet surreal in places as well.

If you fancy some Copenhagen flavour, look for the Pusher Trilogy. 3 films, each portraying the life of various seedy underworld characters, with unrivaled realism. The films are in Danish with English subtitles but are well worth watching. The actors portray their characters superbly, it is the depth of the characters that form the main focus of the films. The films are produced by Refn and the first two are available in 11 parts on youtube.

La Haine; French gangster film in black and white. Another good un.

One thing abouth these films, which is part of the draw, is the lack of a happy ending......
