Broken rail between Peteborough and Kings Cross

Unusually frank announcement on 8.40 Leeds to Kings Cross "We are being held because of reports of a broken rail South of Peterborough station, I cannot tell you how long we will have to wait as safety checks are being made".

Only Southbound is affected.

It was reported as a suspected broken rail on the Up Line at Yaxley south of Peterborough which seeing as it's a two track railway there doesn't help when disruption happens.
