I was just having a look at the Britrail website and it has photos of HST’s running on the Great Western plus Virgin still running trains. Goodness knows what else is out of date on this website which is used by foreigners? As I understand it, they are a marketing company based in N. America. Anyway, they also state - “have a look at OUR trains”. Hmm...

Probably for the best as if foreigners spotted Avanti they'd be off to the Flixbus website without hesitation ;)

The whole website doesn't look as if much has been updated in 20 years.

I can think of a few TOCs much worse than Avanti, TPE being the prime candidate!

Still has South West Trains listed so that's getting on for 7 years out of date.

That site is owned by RDG/National Rail. It does little more than forward to a few 3rd party agencies that retail the Britrail products.

www.britrail.net one of the main retailers of the passes is owned by ACP Rail, a Canadian company.

Obviously they can't be bothered to keep it updated, then again with the state of the awful new nationalrail website maybe that's not an entirely bad thing.

I had a 15 days in 2 month pass a few years ago which was outstanding value for money - just write a date in the box and travel. Even today its only US$1000 for 15 days first class flexible date travel.
Now technically you need to live overseas, but if you have a relative with a USA / Aus / NZ address to receive the pass, and post it you, nobody asks any questions.....
