I'm not sure what that means or who it is aimed at. All I was trying to say is that if you can't get what you want on the net, you might be able to find out through a professional, such as a travel agent of at a railway booking office. My friend had to go to a station in the UK to buy a single ticket from Ireland to Wales as he couldn't do it online (the Iarnrod Eireann site was apparently extremely unhelpful). The station did it quickly and easily through a few clicks on the mouse!

The original project which was intended to include a considerable purchase of Britrail Passes, has since3 been cancelled; mainly because initially, it proved impossible to ascertain the costs involved as the search was in iniated from both UK and ROI websites.
Those sites were inundated with cajolling offers of BritRail Passes -until one actually tried to find prices! Or buy a pass.
At which time each and every one of those sites simply closed-off any further business. Now, thanks to very many helpful posts on this forum, I have now uncovered why this premptory/arbitrary action is so.
Hence, I (for one) and I suspect, many others, are now aware that information about the price of BritRail Passes CANNOT be ascertained from UK or ROI websites.
Why so I do not know: perhaps BritRail do not want these details ( prices?) to be available or widely circulated in UK? An this despite the factthat much business is therefore lost as non-uk residents who may be in the UK remain unaware of these cheap and usefull passes.
Presumably it is the same principle applies in Euro-Rail ticketing- ie NOT AVAILABLE for use in a home country.
Eurorail passes (distinct from InterRail or BritRail) passes can be purchased in the UK but are only valid outside the UK (although they do command discounts to UK borders).The same applies in other EC countries:ie tickets bought in France cannot be used in France-only after exiting to another country(s) for which the pass is valid!
So :my thanks to all who contributed to my own personal sum of knowledge-most of what I have learned will be published OUTSIDE the UK but may serve to warn intending BRITRAILERS to be sure to buy before thay get to Britain!
And thanks to those who tried deciphering yoriginal posts: as I said in re-editing that original (and in apology); I was then only partially sighted after a series of eye operations- I am now recovering,and (I hope) my posts are somewhat clearer and more legible.
