Does anyone know what happened to the BTP loco that used to sit at the sidings in Crewe?

I know it got used for some North Wales coast drags but haven't seen it for a while...

And does anyone know why they had one to start with?

I meant operated by DRS, as you see it's in the DRS de-registered pool. Lots of HNRC locos end up being operated by DRS.

I think it was the one originally used as a decoy /publicity service around Birmingham, during the school holidays There was also a dmu in jam sandwich livery. Bricking was a much bigger pastime a couple of years ago. The local miladdos were a bit shocked and halted mid brick when it stopped and disgorged several dozen coppers that would then set off in pursuit,
It was basically a press and publicity thing, with the local tv on it for the opening days.
It was actually CCTV that drove the brickers back to the local canals and helicopter pinpointing for other trespassers.
.( It used to be said that if you were brave enough to take a canal boat into the centre of Birmingham---- you could get enough free bricks to build a nice bungalow.)

I live In Birmingham next to a Canal don't really see bricks......Trollies and condom yes but not much Brick throwing nowadays.
