British made buses in Australia

In the 1990s I remember seeing in Melbourne (Australia) some Leyland buses in service. Would they have been imported to Australia?
Also has any British made buses/coaches , historically and currently ever been available in Australia?

Alexander Dennis buses in North Brisbane Region, only several still alive in long-distance all stop service connecting some towns along the railway (but having no rail service any more). On track-blocked days, more old Dennis buses run rail-replacement service for metro services. Not sure if they are owned by Queensland Rail or Translink (the PT system for Brisbane metropolitan).

Historically many buses were supplied to Australia by British manufacturers. A glance at the collection of the Sydney Bus Museum will reveal several familiar names.

The Leyland National even had a specific model length developed for Australia, 10.9m, which used the front portion of the long 11.3m model and the rear portion of the short 10.3m model (one such ended up in the Rennies of Dunfermline fleet, TLS 733P).

A small amount of British built Alexander Dennis buses and British built Optare buses are currently used by various Australian bus operators. They have Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 and Optare Solo SR and Optare Tempo SR buses. New Zealand seems to have a much larger amount of British built buses but Australia certainly has a few.
