....Gotta feel for Webber as well. Being told, yet again, not to race his team-mate. I couldn't give a stuff about, 'what's best for the team' which was Red Bull boss Christian Horner's take on the team order given to Webber. I want to see racing drivers race.
....I am not at all happy that with Red Bull, as their team orders seemed to prevail over the last two laps, to enable Vettel to finish ahead of Webber. It was a very strange interview that Christian Horner of Red Bull held with the TV crew after the race, with references to the greater good of "the team". ( I had better not say any more on that matter). Vettel did have one very poor pit stop due to a mistake with the mechanics, when he came into the pits in front of Alonso, then lost a position as a result of a team mistake....
You have to feel for Mark Webber. It does sound as if they're favoured towards Vettel and, just listening to the F1 Forum just now, it wouldn't have been necessary to deliberately keep Webber back as Vettel is so far ahead in the championship standings, the end result would've been exactly the same had Webber taken 2nd.
I wouldn't be surprised if Webber seriously keeps his options open for his future career with Red Bull.
I'm actually a little suprised the team felt Vettel finishing ahead was the best 'for the team'. In reality, the title is Vettel's and Red Bull's to lose. But there is one thing I think is better that winning both titles...Winning the Constructors title and getting a one-two in the Drivers championship.
Webber is the number two driver, there is no qustion of that, but the Red Bull is a top car and at the moment, unless he can get in a Ferrari (not gonna happen), I think it is his best chance of a title. He knows he is the number two, he knew that last season, even when he was leading the title race. The question is how long can he play second fiddle?
I think Red Bull would have been better to tell Vettel to let Webber go if he got a chance to take the place, he'd still be three race wins ahead of everyone else and Webber would have more points to try to take second place.
Red Bull have shown their true colours and now Webber has to make his own choices.
