Bristol- Severn Beach.
Bristol - Taunton via Weston super Mare
Bristol - Cheltenham
Bristol - Cardiff
Bristol - Westbury - Poetsmouth direct via Southampton and via Chandlers Ford
Bristol - Westbury - Weymouth

Only Gloucester drivers sign Gloucester - Swindon, Swindon - Bristol Parkway via Hullavington.

And not all drivers sign all routes. The number of signed routes increases as your move through the different links.

Very few drivers sign all routes, very few.

Bristols 'core' routes are Temple Meads - Bristol Parkway, Temple Meads - Severn Beach, Temple Meads - Taunton and both routes to SPM (via Bedminster & North Somerset.)

New trainees are now also learning Cardiff from Temple Meads & Parkway whilst all new/recently qualified drivers will learn this as it's being added to The Core Routes.

After some experience Cheltenham and Westbury is added, with only the señior men who drive Portsmouth & Weymouth

I believe that back in Wessex Trains days they used to work as far as Paignton.

Back in Churchward's days they worked Plymouth to Bristol and only got off there because they changed the engine at Pylle Hill!!! I only replied because, to be honest, I can't believe what I am reading here. The thread title seems to refer to an earlier thread; is there a misunderstanding about what we are referring to? Apologies if I have missed the point.

I suspect that in GWR days Bristol men signed to Shrewsbury! Or maybe Shrewsbury men signed Bristol. There was certainly a through engine working and it was less common in those days to be relieved en route.

Yes. In steam days Bristol (Bath Rd) worked Bristol TM to Shrewsbury and back, something like 16 30 Up and 21 25 return. Shrewsbury worked double home to Newton Abbot alternating with Newton Abbot.

Out of question, which depot covers that Friday service from Westbury - Exeter? Its the one operated by a unit.
