Advance tickets for the Euston to Manchester leg (operated by Virgin Trains currently but set to be taken over by First Group) are not yet on sale: http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/times_fares/booking_horizons.html
They should go on sale Thursday-ish this week so keep checking.
You should be able to get a £12 ticket if you're quick enough.

Then, to get from Brighton to London, I would suggest either a Southern Advance (when they become available) or a Brighton to London St Pancras (not London Terminals!) Super Off-Peak Day Return First Capital Connect Only for £10 (throw away the return portion) and you can walk from St Pancras to Euston. This will be valid on any train from Brighton to London St Pancras that day - you'll need to leave at least 45 minutes between your scheduled arrival in St Pancras and your departure from Euston for your connection to be honoured if the Brighton train is delayed.

When they come on sale you should be able to get a Brighton-Stoke on Trent Advance (Southern and London Midland) for £10 and then an anytime single to Manchester for £9.50 (Virgin) or even an Advance from £3

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned it yet. Don't buy from thesheepline, instead buy your tickets here on this occasion to save on booking fees, card fees and postage as appropriate.

But if you do use Southern Railway's booking engine don't go for free postal delivery as Southern say they aren't obliged to replace tickets lost in the post.

A rather strict condition and one I'm not sure has legal standing. If Southern won't replace lost tickets then what is a customer to do? They can't claim from Royal Mail as they haven't entered into a contract with them.

The Brighton to London Bridge or Blackfriars super off-peak (weekend) day return FCC only is £10.00

But according to NRE the Brighton to St Pancras fare is £15.50
(a super off-peak day single £15.40, a Travelcard only £15.00)
