Industrial action is taking place on Saturday 5 August. Due to serious safety concerns, there will be NO trains to or from Brighton and the station will be closed. There will also be no trains along the Southern coastal routes due to the amended timetable that will be in place.
If you are planning on attending Brighton Pride, or other events on the Southern coastal network you will not be able to get to the event by train. You will need to make alternative travel arrangements to get to the event, Southern and Thameslink appreciate this will be extremely difficult. More information around Brighton Pride, can be found here.
Southern, Thameslink and Great Northern services which are running on the network will start later and finish much earlier than normal, therefore you should check your full journey before you travel. Gatwick Express will not run, Southern and Thameslink will still serve Gatwick Airport but will finish earlier than normal. There will be no alternative travel on these routes once the last train has departed.
